[He steps aside to let Lestat enter. His heart is already beating a little fast and he casts a look at the door to Inara's room. He's not actually sure where she is. He should be introducing her to anyone he invites into their shared home, but he'd rather be set of fire than disrupt her evening for this.]

[Walking through, he observes the new house that his little friend is staying at now. It's quite lovely. He's rather pleased with the excellent taste the individual has.]

It's fine. Fairy doesn't like flying either. I have to carry her because my sword is too narrow for her to balance on for long. She's outside right now.

The prospect of more gifts was as pleasing as it was flustering. He was used to getting gifts back home, as a show of favor to his Sect, but here, there was little Jin Ling could offer Lestat besides his company.

[Lestat comes over to him and brushes his fingers over that soft face. He's got such a beautiful complexion. For a moment he's almost lost in just admiring him. But then Lestat steals a quick kiss before stepping back to pull a little box from his pocket.]
[Jin Ling pulls in a big breath like he's going to argue. It catches in his throat at Lestat's touch. Lestat's pale skin and bright eyes are especially ethereal this close and it's almost overwhelming to be the center of someone's attention in this way.
His head is already tilting back in anticipation when Lestat darts in, mouth soft and welcome to the contact.
The welcome only lasts for an instant. He's puffed up and prickly with indignation by the time it's done, as if he's been accosted in the street.
He looks between Lestat's face and the box and takes it slowly. The prickliness gentles at the sight of the ring inside.]
It's beautiful.
[He turns it one side to the other, watching the light pull flashes of blue and green out of the center band.]
[Lestat watches as the adorable thing goes from indignant to pleased. It's so easy to see that he's done well and his smile widens as he steps forward to take the ring from him.
Then he slides it onto his finger, admiring how it looks on the young man.]
[The ring fits perfectly. He spreads his fingers under Lestat's attention, unconsciously showing off.]
Hmph! [He purses his lips, like he's trying to scowl, but it doesn't hide how pleased he is.] Don't tease me. Oh!
[He pulls away and turns to the nightstand. He removes one of the hair chains there, long and thin, weighed with golden stones along it's length. He stretches it across his hands and hols it out to Lestat. He's blushing, a combination of shyness at the offer and embarrassment at not being able to give something nicer.]
[But then he watches him turn to the nightstand. And get a chain? Then he realizes that there's significance to it. His eyes widen as he holds out his hands to accept the chain.]
This is beautiful...
[Gently he runs his thumb over the stones, loving the way they look in the dim lighting.]
Gonzi though? [He laughs softly and leans in to press a kiss to his lips.]
Aren't you though? [There's a challenge in the words. If Lestat is not a 'young master', then what?
Despite the question, he doesn't give Lestat time to answer, instead leaning back in to complete the kiss. He, on his end, tries to keep it sweet and short.]
You can't stay too much later. I promised not to have people over without warning.

Instead, he shivers at Lestat's touch and request, eyes falling half closed before snapping open again. [He leaves Lestat on the bed with the blankets held open long enough to let Fairy in and turn off the lights. He slides into the bed in the near-darkness and settles against the long line of Lestat's body, a sigh escaping him.]
Hmmm? [ He presses close and breaths in. It's still odd that Lestat doesn't smell of much other than soap and fabric, but not in a bad way.] A-Ling is for family and close friends.
[ He reaches up and tugs at one of Lestat's curls. ]
