[He's sprawled belly-down in bed, a scowl on his face as he looks down into the camera. His hair is pulled back into a neat braid. There is zero attempt to look proper here, like he might have, indeed, responded as soon as he got the message.]

[Reading the praise in writing blunts some of it's intensity and Jin Ling is able to enjoy the burst of pleased satisfaction without the embarrassment of having those words said to his face.]

[He starts to type back that that wasn't what he meant (it was), then gives up and gets up to put his outer robe back on. He'd undressed for bed and his hair is down and loose around his face. He ties it back into a low pony-tail.

He's frowning when he answers the door for Lestat, but it doesn't seem very serious.]

[Jin Ling presses his mouth together and it looks for a moment like he might tell Lestat to get lost, but he relents.]

[He steps aside to let Lestat enter. His heart is already beating a little fast and he casts a look at the door to Inara's room. He's not actually sure where she is. He should be introducing her to anyone he invites into their shared home, but he'd rather be set of fire than disrupt her evening for this.]

[Walking through, he observes the new house that his little friend is staying at now. It's quite lovely. He's rather pleased with the excellent taste the individual has.]
